I absolutely loved Ringer, and fell in love with his character during That One Summer, book three in the Summer series. He's always been the entertainment, relied upon for a cheap laugh and occasionally to be laughed at. But lately life isn't so comical, all his friends seemed to have paired off with girlfriends and settling down in serious relationships... But not Ringer. He can't think of anything worse than being tied down. Until he meets Miranda. He may be the hottest item to hit the tiny town of Ballan in some time, but she can barely stand to look at him. Except when he's paying attention, then she simply can't help but checking him out. She's single after all. But the two need to come to some sort of mutual agreement in order to work together, or the farm will suffer.
What ensues is a hilarious forced working partnership, a sultry attraction and two quick witted individuals that tread the fine line between loving and loathing someone. The Summer series is classed as New Adult, but only due to the mild sexual content and ages of the characters involved. It's basically Young Adult that includes a few sexual situations, but it's not sexually based. Each book focuses on one of the Onslow boys, a group of young men that live in the friendly rural town of Onslow Australia. It's incredibly genuine and drama free. A brilliant and heartwarming read, now all that's left is Adam and Ellie's story. I can't wait.
