The author asks the question: 'How do we embrace the sacred in the ordinary and the ordinary in the sacred?' In this book she answers that question by looking at things she does from her ordinary life and showing how these things become part of who we are. She relates these seemingly ordinary or mundane tasks to spiritual practice and worship and shows how even in these things we can experience God's presence.
I need to reread this at some point and, at the same time, work through the discussion questions and practices included at the end of the book. I'd heartily recommend this book for anyone who has problems in relating to God through their every day lives, to help see the liturgy of the ordinary.
