Every year, when the moon is in the eucalyptus trees, all the tigers in the country come together to dance. They make a giant circle. Each tiger holds the tail of the tiger in front of him, and they dance in the light of the eucalyptus moon. But unfortunately for Teeho, not quite all tigers get involved. As he is not yet three months old, he is deemed to be too young, and for him to dance would be against the rule. He stomps off - and runs into a friend, who reminds him that he could do his own dance, and then no one could say there was a rule against it. So he practices, and practices, and when the time comes, he begins:One step forward, one step back. A turn to the side and a flick of the tail. And repeat! It looks so much fun and all the older tigers are so impressed, that they all start dancing Teeho's dance. He has earned his place in the Moondance.
