While I was reading this, I kept thinking how it had shades of many great books I have read, where the author does such a wonderful job weaving different characters' lives together. I really enjoyed the different POVs, and thought that alternating between "before" and "after" really contributed to the tension buildup. The build was slow, but once I reached that point, that boiling point, I had trouble putting the book down. As with every other time I read a thriller/suspense type book, I admonish myself for not reading more of them. I loved collecting and assembling the pieces. I loved feeling that thrill of being "right" or of being so wrong, I had to slow clap for McKenzie. I had a lot of fun reading this, and would recommend it for anyone who liked a little mystery with their drama.
