I really enjoyed Adelaide's story and was looking forward to getting to know more about Mira. Although this book runs concurrently to the previous book, it did not feel like a Mead was rehashing Adelaide's story, as many alternate POV books do. This approach worked, because though the girls spent a great deal of time together, they also spent a lot of time apart.

Mira was so determined to find and free her brother. She was willing to risk life and limb and maybe even compromise some of her beliefs to accomplish this task. I found her fierce, driven, and intriguing. I loved how she adapted to each of her roles, and really enjoyed getting the other side of what lead up to that mess that happened at the end of the last book. Mira and Grant had amazing chemistry, and there, at the end, Grant totally made me swoon.

I think I identified a few threads of Tasmin's story, and I cannot wait to confirm my suspicions with the next book.
