Martin Figura was born in Liverpool in 1956. His first collection,The Little Book of Harm, was published by Firewater in 2000, selling out four print runs. His second collection, Ahem, has been selling well at readings since late 2005 and is now being released nationally. He has toured widely both as a member of The Joy of 6 and individually in the UK and abroad, including New York and Toronto.
He was awarded an MA with distinction in Writing The Visual at Norwich Art School in 2007. He has been published in several magazines, including: Rattapallax (US), The Same (US), Smiths Knoll, The Rialto, Envoi, Seam and Nth Position.
