Topics related to school reform that have been added include school-based management, charter schools, community and parental involvement, curriculum integration, equal education, block scheduling, year-round schooling, and recommendations from What Matters Most: Teaching for America's Future report (chapter 1). A completely rewritten chapter 6 on technology now includes distance learning and the Internet.
