Stu Howitt was a one-off with his rarity of uniqueness, phenomenally so. At that time in Liverpool's rich history Stu Howitt was right up there with Liverpool's finest sons. The best of best! A brave courageous champion, sophisticated and true with a gentleness of a real gentleman, a genuine man, he was rich in every sense of the word! The late Stu Howitt was all of these things and much more, who has enriched my extremely difficult life for nearly forty years. Our paths crossed many times in those fabulous years when Liverpool was at its best which the history books will show, in Liverpool's rich history that you and I, Stu, were part of.
