Ian Vannoey was born in Croydon in 1953. He studied at Bristol and Leicester Universities. Before being disabled by a severe stroke in 1998, he was a science teacher. He had a number of teaching jobs, one in Madrid, Spain. He has a wide variety of interests, some of which are revealed in the poems within this collection. He lives in Cornwall.
