Stan Cullimore got the idea for this story one day while fishing. He was in a boat with his son. As a helicopter flew overhead, his son joked that it had come to rescue them. That got Stan thinking. What if they really did need to be rescued? Before becoming a writer, Stan Cullimore played guitar in a popular music group in England. Today, he performs and composes music for television, in addition to writing books for children.
