Alice James was born in Amarillo, Texas and enjoyed being an educator for fourteen years. She is proud to have built an outdoor classroom with multiple teaching areas, including a pier and a pond. When working for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (formerly TNRCC), she taught teachers how compost bins can be used in the classroom. She has recently received training in how to transport animals after disasters.
