Magical beings once ruled over us until their betrayed leader made a death curse with his final breath. Banished from the realm of man for over four thousand years, the curse is weakening, and these beings, these … demons, are coming back to rule the Earth once more.
They are powerful, immortal, and unstoppable, but they don’t know everything.
They left some of their magic behind and their return has sparked an awakening.

No one knows about them. No one is ready. The false gods are coming.
In seven days, I have to surrender myself to a demon.
That was what I agreed to. That was the price to rescue a teenage girl.
What would you do with your last week? My plan to drink good whisky and relax got shot to hell within hours when the police, who hate me by the way, begged for my help. They have a murder with… strange circumstances.
I only need one look at the pictures to know they look like werewolf wounds. Could the killer we are chasing be my friend the snarky werewolf? I certainly hope not because I’m not sure he can be stopped.
As I chase across Europe, with my time running out, the body count continues to rise. That’s not my only problem though. Clandestine organisation, The Alliance, are enacting their own agenda, which seems to include me whether I like it or not, the rescued girl’s father wants to sue me, and the demon I killed is back to get his revenge.
It’s going to be a tough week.

There’s something very rotten in this community but digging into it brings him face to face with something more powerful even than him. Something ancient and unstoppable. He has no choice other than to fight, but who will walk away?

Okay, so I have an attitude problem.
Telling your superior officer he is an (insert expletive) might not a good career move, but it sure felt good to do it. Especially since he is.
It's not so much that I like fighting ... I'm tiny, bits of me are missing (I'll tell you about the accident later maybe), but none of that means I am going to take any crap.
So when I get attacked by two freakin' ugly creatures, and my body reacts by channelling some kind of magic ... well, that was the coolest sh*t ever.
I can wield magic, baby, yeah!
And that's where the real problems began.
