Now, on top of having to go searching for a vampire out there in the human world infested with sorcerers, I have to do it with him by my side.

I made a deal with a sorcerer. I'll help him stop an evil nobody even knows exists yet, and in exchange, he'll set me free of the monster that lives inside me.
Sounds like a sweet deal, right?
I thought so, but there's one thing I forgot to think about: Ax Creed.
When I first met him, I thought he would be just like everyone else. I'm good at pushing people away, and they usually stay away for good.
Not him. He pushes back just as hard. He got into my head, under my skin, and despite what we both are, he gives me hope. So I'm determined to do whatever it takes to get back to him, having no clue that he thinks I'm dead.
And what does Ax do when something he wants is taken from him?
He becomes the Savage.
Being on the run with him again fulfills my soul, but my freedom means too much to me, so I won't let myself stop. And at the end of our journey, I'll have a choice to make--become his, everything else be damned, or...
Ruin us for good.

Book 3
Three weeks ago, I had to make the most difficult decision of my life, thinking I knew what I was doing.
Turns out, I was clueless as to what fate had in store for me still.
And when I find myself a captive of the most powerful sorcerer I've ever met, I'm sure this is it. There's nobody left out there who cares about me. Nobody was coming to save me, and I couldn't save myself, either.
But as always, I keep underestimating Savage Ax.
Even though he saves me, things between us are not the same. He can barely look at me. Doesn't even want to talk to me. I drove a knife through his heart and twisted it, too. I'm learning that that has a lot of consequences.
But I can't take it. I can't stand it when he looks at me like he doesn't care. So I do the only reasonable thing I can think of: write him a letter and leave.
Except Ax is not one to leave things unfinished. And when he decides that I'm not going anywhere, there's very little I can do about it...or want to.
