Kelly WIlliams, a reporter dying of heart failure, receives a heart transplant from another young woman. Because of a not-entirely innocent decision by her stepsister, when Wendy dies of blood loss, her organs are given transplanted, and her heart ends up in Kelly's chest. Three days later, Wendy awakes as a vampire, and finds that Roberto, her vampire sire, is nowhere to be ound. She recruits Dwight, a geek who'd been pining over her, to help her recover what's missing. While Kelly adjusts to the abilities of her new heart, it keeps calling out to Roberto. Will the right people, and the right organs, all end up where they belong?
