This book presents foundational technologies and background knowledge in the field of AC/DC/hybrid microgrids. It then goes on to describe technical advances and emerging technologies. The authors focus on planning, control and operation of integrated distribution systems with AC/DC/hybrid microgrids. Here, the integrated distribution system refers to the modern distribution system with distributed energy resource (DER) and microgrid integration. Rather than solely relying on AC or DC subsystems, the book covers both AC, DC and hybrid microgrids in integrated distribution systems in order to introduce a comprehensive solution.
