With a strong focus on the pedagogy of the new primary maths curriculum and plenty of hands-on demonstrations and opportunities to explore the resources, you will gain an in-depth understanding of how to embed Abacus in your school, how to engage all your children and how to help them make progress in their learning.

This course is for all staff in schools adopting the Abacus programme - school leaders, maths coordinators and teachers. It is for schools subscribing to Abacus for the first time and will also be beneficial to those transitioning from Abacus Evolve.

It includes plenty of opportunity to explore the planning tools, teaching resources, textbooks and workbooks, online pupil world and assessment and reporting tools and will give all of your staff the confidence and enthusiasm to make the most of your Abacus subscription.

gain a strong understanding of the new curriculum for maths in England and where the emphasis now lies
develop confidence in the new curriculum and their ability to teach using Abacus
know the progression of skills children need to master as part of the new primary maths curriculum

Each half day course lasts three hours and can be arranged for any time of day, including after school.







To maximise learning outcomes, we recommend schools book the two half days as close together as possible.
