"Asian and Western Financial Structures" examines the differences between Asian and Western financial structures from both a theoretical and institutional perspective. The authors, who have published extensively in the areas of financial and central bank policy, discuss the transition that both Asian and Western financial structures have undertaken over the past three decades as they have moved towards more open and liberal regimes, and review the outcomes of the financial and central bank policy in Asia and the West. In addition, they analyse the extent to which convergence toward a common financial structure is in progress. Providing a broad overview of the Asian and Western financial and central banking institutions and developments, this new text will be of interest to policy-makers, market participants and scholars of Asian studies, economics, business, political science and international policy.
