When a trail was needed to supply the meat-starved North and East, Gregg Halmar, veteran of the Civil War, was chosen as trail blazer. Pushing through deserts and Indian territory meant facing a constant gamle with death. For a thousand miles, Halmar led the cattle to the North, fighting outlaws, Indians and nature. It was men like Halmar who turned the West into what it is today.
