Each Literacy Centre contains: *6 copies of a core text used by the whole class and supporting Shared and Guided reading activities *6 copies of a guided text aimed at the average reader in that year group *6 copies of a guided text aimed at more able readers in that year group *6 copies of a guided text aimed at less able readers in that year group * Lyfjackets for the children's books * a Teacher's Book How the Centres work The core text This is used with the whole class, either as a text they all share, or as a class novel for that term
