Scholastic Teacher Bookshop provides a wonderful range of titles reflecting current issues in education as well as the most popular primary curriculum areas. Teachers can browse through 'The Book shop' and choose those titles that meet their particular needs and/or take their fancy! The varied format of titles in this series enables subjects to be covered in a way that is most appropriate to the content. "High Frequency Words" includes 12 photocopiable A5 minibooks for the children to create and colour and 49 pages of teachers' notes giving guidance on using the books. Each of the 12 eight-page minibooks introduces between three and six of the high-frequency words listed in the NLS. The words are repeated in a pattern throughout the minibook with picture clues enabling the child to predict any additional words on each page. The accompanying teachers' noes include: teaching ideas linked to the NLS objectives, suggestions for related activities, flashcards, photocopiable activity masters, and photocopiable homework pages.
