A young boy's joy ride on a "borrowed" motorcycle suddenly turns into a desparate evasion of the police.

In the summer of 1949, four boys leave primary school, eagerly awaiting a summer of carefree fun on their new-found playground, the old bombsite. A misunderstanding on their last day results in one of the boys being unfairly punished and leaves them longing for revenge on the adults who have let them down. Then, the discovery of an unexploded bomb sparks a life changing decision for all of them.
