Writing and Making Books

This text offers creative ideas for turning children into enthusiastic authors. Book making provides both motivation for writing and the stimulus for different writing genres - fiction, poetry and non-fiction. It also supports many areas of the English programmes of study, including compositional skills, communicating meaning, presentation skills, and using a variety of forms for different purposes and audiences. The practical making of books also supports the curriculum in art - investigation and making - and design and technology - designing, making and using sheet materials.
