This is the tale of the empty suit of armour who leaves the castle one night to go into town. He meets the farmer in the countryside, the dog in the village and the early morning shoppers in the town. He doesn't mean to frighten anyone - after all, he only wanted an oil can!

The spooky story in verse of a young boy lost in the depths of the forest one winter's night.Cold and tired he seeks refuge in a tumbledown castle.A rather odd looking-and smelling-butler answers the door and offers a bed for the night. He accepts with gratitude-but his nightmare has just begun.Woken during the night he creeps out of his bedroom to explore. He discovers a dungeon with a long wooden box inside. The lid begins to lift and his host steps out and invites him to stay for a bite.
