Sign-along singing is the new, exciting way to engage children with music and movement. Hand me a song is a DVD, CD and book pack with original songs, karaoke-style lyrics, and easy-to-follow signs on screen. Whatever your musical capabilities, introducing your class or choir to sign-along singing is made manageable and fun with Hand me a song. The DVD features the Songs of Kaos charity signing choir, and a backing CD of live performances, so that the songs can be easily performed in assemblies, choirs, concerts and music lessons. The songbook contains lyrics, music, vocal parts, piano parts and guitar chords. Also inside is general information on signing, teaching notes and a useful index of signs for quick reference. The songs and signs can be enjoyed by those with or without full hearing ability. Hand me a song can therefore be used in general primary schools, secondary schools, special needs schools, after school clubs, performing arts colleges - anywhere where children and adults want to sing great songs and move to the music.
It is enormously rewarding for children to learn sign language and opens up communication between hearing and deaf children, or those children for whom English is not a first language. The lyrics and songs are cutting-edge and deal with modern issues relevant to the children's lives like the environment: titles include, Veggie aliens with attitude and Rock Boots.
