This series has a depth of feeling and a degree of storytelling at the simplest level that is unusual at this age range. Atsuko Morozumi's illustrations are a wonderful combination of talent and feeling and the use of flaps to tell stories of everyday events makes this series exceptional by today's standards. The books are bunny-shaped for extra appeal.
