TEACH YOURSELF CHRISTIANITY is an introduction to Christianity as a living faith, its impact on the world today and the questions surrounding its continuing influence.

It includes sections on:

- the person, teaching and impact of Jesus

- prayer, worship and the Christian experience of God

- modern movements within the church

- Christian faith in a scientific age

- Church, society, medical ethics and other faiths

- Christianity's artistic, medical, architechtural and literary inheritance.

TEACH YOURSELF CHRISTIANITY stimulates reflection on Christianity, both for practising Christians and for the general reader who wants to know more about this worldwide faith.

The "Teach Yourself World Faiths" series aims to present all the essential information required by a reader who has no previous knowledge of the religion, but who wants to feel confident in dealing with members of the faith community - in terms of their beliefs and attitudes, and also of the practical details of their culture, ceremony, diet and moral views. As such it is relevant to the needs of police, social workers, solicitors, businessmen, teachers and all who require sensitivity and insight in dealing with the public in a multi-faith and multi-ethnic society.
