This guide covers acupressure for the treatment of commmon ailments, and: gives instructions for using acupressjure; illustrates each acupressure point; offers an alternative to prescription medicines; and offers treatments for sciatica and muscle cramp to bronchitis and indigestion. The book is presented in two sections. Part one, "Oriental Medicine", explains the basic concepts from the causes of disease, the channels and pressure points and major acupressure points, to preparing to treat, herbs and oils and channel-opening techniques. Part two, "Treating Common Ailments", describes the ailments in terms of the body system them relate to, and offers an acupressure technique to treat the condition. For example, treatments for arthrritis and aching joints are found under "Bones and Joints", and loss of apetite and stomach acidity are found under "Digestion".
