This is a comprehensive record of the results of the 1992 general election, and all the by-elections from 1988 to 1992. The candidates, party labels and votes polled, vote share and the extent of change compared with the previous election are recorded for each constituency. Other statistics include the percentage majority, turnout and electorate. It also contains an index of candidates and tables detailing rank orders of parliamentary constituencies, according to party majorities and party change in the share of the vote.
