The 'Out of School' series is designed to provide adults involved in extended schools and wrap around care with simple, cost effective solutions to keep children interested, involved and learning. The series aims to offer resources that have a focuson enjoyment, and give priority to learning but without being just more school. So the activities are short, fun-filled and lively, and will keep children profitably busy. Here is a selection of 50 traditional games that require the minimum of equipment. They are organised in 10 sections and are simple to play. Users will be able to find something suitable for a spare 5 minutes or a longer session. Some need dice and counters. The games are all suitable for mixed ages and the instructions have been written so that older children can play independently or introduce younger friends to their favourites. Consolidates and extends key skills beyond lesson time.
