Each Literacy Centre contains: six copies of a core text to be used by the whole class; six copies of a guided text aimed at the average reader; six copies for more able readers; six copies for less able readers; and a teacher's book. Included are six copies of "The Puffin Book of Utterly Brilliant Poetry", "Give Yourself a Hug", "This Poem Doesn't Rhyme" and "There's an Awful Lot of Weirdos in this Neighbourhood". These are all suitable for Year 3 and 4 term 3 range requirements of the National Literacy Strategy Framework for teaching. The teacher's book contains shared and guided reading activities plus photocopiable sheets for each of the books in the centre.
