Go for it
2 total works
High interest, low-level texts for struggling readers aged 11-14, Go For It is for students who have fallen behind in their reading and have lost the confidence or the desire to pick up a book. This series comprises fiction and non-fiction titles and is designed to encourage reading for fun, interest and information - providing engaging stories and non-fiction texts as well as developing students' reading skills and providing opportunities for group discussion and other kinds of follow-up work. The fiction stories are about teens and the issues confronting them: for example, peer pressure, violence, first loves, 'fitting in' and friendship. The books are in full colour and artwork is in an up-to-date cartoon style which will appeal to the 11-14 age group. Illustrations are by young dynamic artists, who also animate for TV, computer games and music videos.
