This review is one of five regional reviews updated and rewritten annually to reflect the enormous changes occurring throughout their region of interest. This edition covers every country on the African continent, as well as the island economies off the east and west coasts. Information for each country is provided in six sections: analysis for key political and economic events; key facts, including heads of state, currency, official language(s) and capital city; key indicators, including population, inflation and balance of trade; country profile and condensed background information, including political situation, industry, the media and tourism; business guide information for international visitors; and a business directory of useful names and addresses.
