Book 1
The children of the goddess Breah had forgotten the threat of her lover Arrakym's curse until two members of the Tachyn quarrel over the beautiful Arrhea, thus fulfilling the curse. War then ensues, heralding the arrival of the "Breakers of Worlds".
Book 2
Fleeing from the Breakers of the World, Davyd, Flysse and Arcole are drawn by Davyd's dreams to the Grannach's haven within the Mountains of the Maker. Here the People have found a land free of demons, but one of their number has committed murder and now blood lies on the new land.
