Dynamics Reported

Published 30 March 1988
At the moment major developments are taking place in the field of dynamical systems, and interest in this area is correspondingly high. The subject is important not only to applied mathematicians, but also to engineers, physicists and computer scientists. Dynamics Reported will be a series of contributed books, each one made up of 4 - 6 substantial articles by leading researchers in this field. The articles will be up to 60 pages long and will treat an important subject of current research at a high scientific and didactic level. The main results will be accompanied by detailed proofs. The intention is to include only articles of the highest quality. With this in view, only one or two volumes will be published each year. Volume 1 contains articles on Mather sets for twist maps and geodesics on tori, connecting orbits in scalar reaction diffusion equations, nonlinear resonance, singularly perturbed initial value problems, and exponential dichotomies.
