Vibroacoustical Diagnostics for Machines and Structures
by M.F. Dimentberg, etc., K.V. Frolov, and A.I. Menyailov
Published 22 October 1991
Our ability to determine a machine's or a structure's mechanical soundness has recently been augmented through the technique of vibroacoustical diagnostics. That is, the estimation or monitoring of their internal state through an appropriate processing of measured vibrational and/or noise signals. Presents ideas concerning this field of engineering in a form suitable for a broad category of readers such as plant managers or maintenance staff, who don't always have advanced mathematical knowledge.
