The Target Mathematics Tests have been designed to provide standardized measures of maths attainment at two critical points during Key Stage 2. The item content has been selected to reflect the Key Stage 2 Mathematics curriculum (ATs 2-5) while remaining independent of particular maths teaching schemes. Two tests provide overlapping coverage and up-to-date norms can be used with whole-group classes within a single class period. They are easy to score.
