It has been argued that the role of the social rented sector in Britain has changed over time due to an increasing concentration of low-income groups. Data is presented in this paper to see to what extent the social rented sector in the Netherlands has been affected by similar developments. Furthermore, this paper examines the latest developments in Dutch housing policy and its possible consequences for the future of the Dutch social rented sector.
