EXCEL for Business Students

Aimed at students who need to learn Excel 3 or 4 to acquire spreadsheet skills, this book requires little or no extra input from a lecturer and can be used as a self-instruction guide. Excel features are introduced in the context of practical business activities, with opportunities for further independent practice and consolidation. Three levels and types of business student are catered for: beginners learning Excel as part of introduction to Business Computing, who need to perform simple but worthwhile tasks; intermediate students learning more difficult tasks such as complex functions, analysis tools, linking worksheets and using tables; and advanced students using spreadsheets as a major course component who will need to use the automated macro features of Excel and develop custom applications. Both the Excel skills and their business applications are explained in simple terms, and the author has deliberately avoided biasing the examples towards areas where specialized knowledge of accountancy is required. A free lecturers' disk is included.
