'A' Level Questions and Answers
2 total works
Providing questions from past exam papers as well as new questions set by actual A Level examiners, this mathematics book is one of a series. The authors who are all either Chief Examiners or Examiners, have prepared answers and a full mark scheme for each of the questions. They also include their tips on what the examiner is looking for and how to avoid the most commonly made mistakes. Questions are divided into topics with a brief revision summary for each topic, and all the answers are at the back of the book, thus encouraging the student to attempt the questions before referring to the answers. Each book has a general introduction which includes advice on revision and exam technique as well as outlining the types of question likely to be faced. The series is suitable for all A Level boards and Scottish Hogher papers, and is a recommended complement to "Letts A Level Study Guides".

Published 28 January 1997
A good grade at A Level or Scottish Higher Grade can depend on the student's ability to tackle exam questions confidently and to understand the technique involved in answering questions accurately. The aim of this text is to help students learn how to answer questions in an exam environment. It provides an insight into the mind of the examiner, highlighting what makes a good answer, how marks are allocated, and what the most common mistakes are. Questions are taken from past papers, or newly written by the authors, with revision summaries, answers with full working and examiner's tips. They are an ideal complement to A Level study guides.
