This core textbook for the life of Jesus has been written to meet the needs of GCSE students, and also those following courses on Christianity in RE at Key Stage 4. It covers the life and teachings of Jesus, according to the Synoptic Gospels, from birth to baptism - death and beyond, taking into account the most recent opinions of scholars. Aspects of the life and teaching of Jesus are related to Christian life and worship. Question sections develop knowledge, understanding and evaluation skills, alongside creative assignments. Creative assignment encourage further research, student participation and enhance evaluation skills. Contemporary examples of Christian experience related to Jesus's life and teaching are included.
This workbook has been designed to complement the textbook "The Christian Way". It provides further activities and information which develop the spirituality approach to a study of the Christian faith. Teacher's notes are provided, along with suggestions for use of the material and possible extension work. The book also includes lesson plans and photocopiable worksheets.
