In Troll Boy, Stanley and Doris Smith are unable to have children, though they long for them. So when they discover a troll baby on their doorstep, they adopt him and raise him as their son. But as little Cedric grows and GROWS, he finds himself struggling to fit into a world where he doesn't belong. Why are his feet so big and his voice so loud? Why do his schoolfriends run away from him in the playground? Then a chance meeting with a mysterious stranger leads Cedric toask the question all human parents dread... 'Mum, am I a troll?'
Meanwhile, far away, a troll family mourn their lost son, and Cedric's big sister sets out on a perilous quest - to find Troll Boy, and bring him home...
