Livewire focus on literacy

This series has been written specifically for pupils at Key Stage 3 and above who are operating at or below National Curriculum Level 4, particularly those on the National Literacy Strategy Intervention Programme. The activities are based on the most popular "Livewire" reading books to ensure motivation and enjoyment. If a pupil needs to repeat work the authors recommend a range of additional "Livewire" titles so a fresh text can be used, maintaining interest and giving pupils freedom of choice within a structured reading environment. Word level, sentence level and text level work is comprehensively covered, and some of the photocopiable activities are designed to be used on an overhead projector for shared reading and writing.
