This is the second part of a two-book series which provides a course in Modern World syllabuses for less academic pupils. Exercises at the end of each chapter aim to develop a variety of skills, including reference skills and sequencing. These have been graded from simple exercises to more complex ones that encourage the detection of bias in evidence. There are also crosswords and word puzzles to help pupils learn key vocabulary. This text uses accounts to describe the history of Britain between 1919 and 1939. The text is easy to read and at the appropriate interest level, with short paragraphs and simple vocabulary. The activities are carefully structured to develop knowledge and concepts.
