Women

Published 24 June 1992
This is part of a series of books designed to provide college and school students with an introduction to key topics in modern business. Questions and activities are interspersed in the text and each of the units in this book concludes with a section which provides two or three other separate activities for students to undertake. This book looks at the role of women. The 1990s present new and exciting opportunities for women to move into management roles, professions and traditional male spheres, but they are still expected to be mothers, housekeepers and supportive wives as well. This book aims to explore the position of women in business today, how they arrived at their current position in society and what the future may hold. "Women" is designed to be of interest to students on introductory business studies courses including BTEC, SCOTVEC, TVEI and GCSE courses.
