This book comprises selected papers from a conference in the fields of housing, urban renewal and race relations. It is organized in four parts - theoretical studies; ethnic neighbourhoods and ethnic communities; neighbourhood rehabilitation, community maintenance and public response; and state control and the limits of regulation. It compares the United States, France, Great Britain and West Germany on many issues relating to housing policy and ethnic minorities.
