Part One of this inspiring series introduces Bing, a large red retriever who is cool and wise, and Frank, a young, excitable, energetic, black and white spaniel. 'Splash' describes the story of Frank learning how to swim and how he overcomes his fear with Bing's support. By the end of the chapter, he is enjoying jumping and splashing in the water as much as Bing. The positive message here is all about facing fears and that it can be fun to try out new things. Next, readers are introduced to Paris the cat, who displays her own unique set of skills and talents. Frank and Paris show each other what they can do and they learn to respect each others' different abilities. In the fourth chapter, 'The Haunted House', Bing and Frank set off to find and explore a haunted house and we meet more characters that live near them. They solve the mystery of the haunted house - and have still time to get back in time for tea!
