These two volumes contain all that survives and has hitherto been published of pre-Alexandrian elegy and iambus, with the relevant testimonia and critical apparatus. The text includes the Cologne Epode of Archilochus and several other fragments which appear in a more complete or correct form. Other publications by M.L.West include "An Introduction to Greek Metre", "The Hesiodic Catalogue of Women: Its Nature, Structure and Origins" and a translation of Hesiod's "Theogony" and "Works and Days".
