This study identifies the needs of older women who are the victims of elder abuse, but who may have experienced abuse earlier in their lives. After an overview of the methods used to obtain data, subsequent chapters consider the themes which emerged from in-depth interviews with 27 female victims and focus groups run for over 300 older people, and the needs of older women both from the victims' and the workers' perspectives. The report also considers the implications for service provision, highlighting key areas of concern for providers in all sectors.
