The Marked
3 primary works
Book 1
The past should stay in the past.
My past just never got the memo.
People will tell you that I'm a wanted criminal, that I killed a lot of people and got away with it. Those people are right.
But life on the run is about to come to an end for me. The woman who raised me is missing, and if I don't go back to find her, she might not make it out alive.
Old wounds resurface and everything that drove me away from Richmond comes back with a vengeance—together with a six-foot-tall eye candy named Logan, who commands fire with a thought. He and everybody else want my head. Can't really blame them 'cause it's a pretty head, but if they think there's no more fight left in me, they're about to be proven wrong.
Whoever kidnapped the woman who raised me, and some of the most powerful magians in the city, needs to be found and stopped before it's too late. For this, I'm going to employ my very complicated investigation strategy until I get to the bottom of it: annoy the shit out of everyone until they tell me the truth.
And that works almost better than real magic.

Book 2
After risking my life to save the woman who raised me, I thought I would finally be forgiven, my magic would be mine again, and I would no longer have to live in hiding.
I was dead wrong.
I also thought that this would be my biggest problem. Wrong again.
Logan is nowhere to be found. Marcus has managed to get away, and I am still breathing, though he'd clearly meant to kill me. Not to mention that I can see with my left eye again after four long years.
But if an army couldn't stop Marcus, who would?
Good ole Ruby Monroe.
The Magian Ministry thinks I am the only one who can get close enough to hurt him because I'm protected. I think they are way too eager to throw me to the wolves. Will I accept their crazy offer to go after Marcus? Hell yeah. No way can I sit back and watch while they let him get away again.
But in my search for Marcus, I find much more than I bargained for. The deadly secrets that come to light could destroy everything the magians had worked so hard to build. The more I know, the less I understand, but I'll be damned if I don't get to the bottom of this once and for all.
Book 3
Nothing’s ever what it seems in Richmond.
I looked death in the face many times in my life, but nothing beats getting swallowed by a tree. It rarely made sense that I survived attacks that should have killed me, yet I'm still here.
Now, I finally know why.
The truth is uglier than even I expected, and it changes everything—except Marcus, a.k.a. Mr Bad Guy. He still uses magic like he owns it. That’s because he does, and he’s not the only one out there.
The mistakes of a few have finally come back to make everyone else pay the price, and I'm sitting in the front row. I’ll stop at nothing to find Marcus and put an end to his madness, even if this time it kills me for good.
At least now I am not alone.
