Charlie Fox crime action thriller mystery
5 primary works
Book 1
Charlie Fox makes a living of sorts teaching self-defence to women. It's a skill Charlie picked up of necessity having been kicked out of the army for reasons she prefers not to go into. So when Susie Hollins is found dead only a few hours after she mistakenly tussles with Charlie at the New Adelphi Club, Charlie knows it's only a matter of time before the police come calling. Only the police reveal that the unlucky Hollins has become the latest victim of the homicidal rapist stalking the local area. Charlie finds herself inadvertently drawn into the investigation when the Adelphi's enigmatic owner Marc Quinn offers her a job. Viewed as an outsider by the existing all-male security team, her suspicion that there is a link between the club and the serial killer doesn't exactly endear her to anyone. Charlie has always taught her students that it's better to run away from a danger than fight unnecessarily. But when the killer starts taking a very personal interest in her it becomes clear that he isn't going to give her that option...
Book 3
Charlie Fox really didn't care who shot dead her ex-army comrade, Kirk Salter during a bodyguard training course in Germany. But when old flame Sean Meyer asks her to go undercover and find out what happened she just can't bring herself to refuse. Keeping her nerve isn't easy when events bring back fears and memories she's worked so hard to forget. It's clear there are secrets at Einsbaden Manor that people are willing to kill to conceal. To find out what's going on, Charlie must face up to her past and move quickly, before she becomes the next casualty. She expected training to be tough, but can she graduate from this school of hard knocks alive?
Book 9
The only thing more terrifying than fighting for your life is fighting for someone else's...Bodyguard and ex-Special Forces soldier Charlie Fox would do anything to take her mind off her partner; shot, left for dead and now lying in a coma. So concentrating on a new assignment seems like the perfect way to escape the pain, and her own empty apartment. The job: to protect the naive daughter of an investment banker from a gang of kidnappers who prey on the children of the wealthy Long Island set. Kidnap is a lucrative crime for those with the nerve to pull it off. Usually those who disappear are returned unharmed - except this syndicate likes to take a piece of the victim as part of the pay-off. Still, it all looks simple at first. A round of exclusive boutiques, charity auctions, luxurious parties aboard million-dollar yachts - and few risks for an experienced operative. But Charlie soon finds out that defending a girl determined to put herself in danger is far from easy. And when her instincts lead her to suspect an inside job, she discovers that not everyone who mingles with the jet-set is what they seem - and the idle rich can be as ruthless as any criminal ...Fast-paced and authentic, Fifth Victim is an electrifying tale of cross and double-cross.
An intoxicating thrill-ride that will keep you firmly on the edge of your seat.

Book 12
Special forces soldier-turned-bodyguard Charlotte "Charlie" Fox can never forget the men who put a brutal end to her military career, but a long time ago she vowed she would not go looking for them.
Now she doesn't have a choice.
Her boss Sean Meyer is missing in Iraq, where one of those men was working as a private security contractor. When the man's butchered body is discovered, Charlie fears that Sean may be pursuing a twisted vendetta on her behalf.
Charlie's "close protection" agency in New York needs this dealt with-fast and quiet-before everything they've worked for goes to ruins. They send Charlie to the Middle East with very specific instructions: Find Sean Meyer and stop him-by whatever means necessary.
At one time Charlie thought she knew Sean better than she knew herself, but it seems he's turned into a violent stranger. Always ruthless, is he really capable of such savage acts of slaughter?
As the trail grows ever more bloody, Charlie realizes that she is not the only one after Sean and, unless she can get to him first, the hunter may soon become the hunted.
